Nucleocapsid protein (NP) is the most abundant protein on the helical nucleocapsid of coronaviruses (SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19), which envelopes the entire viral genomic RNA. NP also interacts with other viral structural proteins and plays important roles during host cell entry, virus particle assembly and release.

The anti-NP IgG monoclonal antibody with high affinity was screened and the variable regions were grafted into a template human IgG framework. The humanized monoclonal antibody (MAb) mimics the IgG antibody in the patients’ serum or plasma specimens. It can be used as a positive control for SARS-CoV-2 NP IgG ELISA kit (IVD) (Cat No. 41A222-IVD).
