Introduction:
The ribosomal phosphoproteins (P protein antigens) are associated with the large ribosomal subunit and therefore are antigenic targets with a cytoplasmic localization. Three P proteins have been described: P0 with a molecular weight of 36 kDa, P1 (19 kDa) and P2 (17 kDa).
Description:
Expressed in E.coli with total 278 AA. Mw: 36 kDa(calculated).
Autoantibodies against ribosomal P proteins are present in 10 % of SLE patients. Recombinant antigen for research use or manufacturing only.
Immunological Function:
As an autoantigen, P0 binds with IgG-type human auto-antibodies.
Applications:
Standard ELISA test, line/dot assay and microarray assay with positive/negative sera panels.

Storage:
Store at –80°C. Avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles.
Quality Control Test:
BCA to determine quantity of the protein. SDS PAGE to determine purity of the protein.
Immunodot analysis to determine functionality of protein.
SDS-PAGE Gel
Dot Blot Assay
Analysis of serum from healthy subjects and patients. Recombinant autoantigens were utilized in this dot-blot assay for validation
